In MLS we consider education a mission, and we have our philosophy to accomplish this vital task. Our goal is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. We want to take students at different levels and see them develop together for the betterment of each individual. The impact of group work, when a student helps a fellow student, changes each person and transforms the atmosphere of the class as a whole.
Learning English nowadays is a skill that must be acquired by all children at different ages and social levels. The more they excel in this skill, the more they have better chances in the future life.English may not be the most spoken language in the world, but it is the official language in a large number of countries. It is estimated that the number of people in the world that use English to communicate on a regular basis is 2 billion.
English is the dominant business language and it has become almost a necessity for people to speak English if they are to enter a global workforce. Research from all over the world shows that cross-border business communication is most often conducted in English. Its importance in the global market place therefore cannot be understated, learning English really can change your life.
The adopted curriculum is very close to everyday life. The chosen teaching techniques enhance social skills, problem solving, critical thinking and character development.
Teachers involve the students in the learning process. The students do more than 70% of the work and teachers facilitate the process, monitor and assess their progress.
As a result, the school attempts to provide the students with the best learning environment and latest teaching methods through smart boards, interactive lessons, audios and videos. As the school grows, these methods also develop and increase.
In Primary stage, we are introducing the four skills; reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students are assessed in all these skills according to the latest teaching and assessing techniques. They are also exposed to variety of activities that enhances their individual and social development. Projects, competitions, using the English language inside and outside the classroom are few methods used this year.
In the Secondary stage, we are aware that our students are preparing themselves to embark on their first steps toward their adult responsibilities. We are preparing them to face the challenges of the adulthood and make the right choices about their future. Being fluent in English is not an option now but an important step to achieving higher goals in any filed. It is our aim to insure that student acquire the skill of presenting their capabilities, talents and abilities with self-confidence that will help them attain their future goals.
